Paul J. Voss, Ph.D.

Dr. Paul J. Voss is CEO/Principal of Areté Leadership Group and an Associate Professor at Georgia State University. A gifted public speaker and award-winning teacher, Dr. Voss teaches courses on Shakespeare, Dante, Machiavelli, Business Ethics, Renaissance Literature, and the History of the Book. He publishes on a wide variety of topics (for both academic audiences and for the popular press) and regularly appears on television and radio programs.

His work on leadership, business ethics, sustainable development, and corporate stewardship builds on 2500 years of intellectual history. His dynamic seminars, coupled with a compelling and thought-provoking curriculum, receive among the highest evaluations from corporations, educational institutions and non-profit organizations large and small.

He is currently completing his next book, Loved or Feared: Paradigm Shifts and the Rejection of Machiavelli.

Professor Voss, his wife Mary, and their five children live in suburban Atlanta.

John S. Sabol

John S. Sabol is President/Principal of Areté Leadership Group.  An accomplished business professional and entrepreneur, Mr. Sabol has over twenty-five years of marketing and general management experience in a variety of industries. His expertise lies in marketing, brand management and business development.

Prior to founding Areté, Mr. Sabol was the President of ListK, LLC a marketing technology startup and he held a variety of marketing and general management positions at Russell Brands, where he was most recently the Director of Team Sports Marketing for Russell Athletic, General Manager for Bike Athletic and on the acquisition and integration team that acquired Brooks, Spalding, Bike Athletic and Mossy Oak Apparel. Prior to Russell, Mr. Sabol worked for Ford Motor Company in a number of marketing and sales roles.

Mr. Sabol received his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School and completed his BS in Business Finance from University of the Pacific.  Mr. Sabol, his wife Gretchen, and their 2 children live in suburban Atlanta.
